Meet Our Staff

Rev. Catherine Zall


Catherine Zall currently serves co-Pastor of the First Congregational Church in New London and as the Executive Director of the New London Homeless Hospitality Center (NLHHC) in New London Connecticut.

Before beginning her work in New London, she served in a variety of social service management positions including almost ten years working as the Deputy Commissioner managing New York City’s welfare to work program.  Before serving at First Congregational Church in New London, Ms. Zall was an Associate Minister at the First Congregational Church in Old Lyme.

Ms. Zall has an undergraduate degree from Brown University, a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Yale Divinity School.  She has two grown children and lives in New London.


Rev. Sara Ofner-Seals


Rev. Ofner-Seals originally hails from Davenport, IA, but has lived out on the east coast since 2002 (with a short one year stint in Los Angeles in 2006).  She received a Bachelor of Music from Millikin University in 2002, and a Master of Music degree from the Longy School of Music in 2005.  Upon completing her studies in music, she responded to a call to ministry at Yale Divinity School, where she earned her Master of Divinity degree in 2010.  

Rev. Ofner-Seals was called as the co-pastor at First Congregational Church in May of 2017.  Before coming to New London, Rev. Ofner-Seals served for five years as the pastor at Park Congregational Church, UCC in Norwich, CT, and for one year as the interim associate pastor at First United Methodist Church in Stamford, CT. She and her husband currently live in Norwich with their adorable and cuddly dogs named Maya and Amos, and their two cats named Kage and Shiro.
