Worship at FCCNL

Worship is at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday. We are currently offering live, in-person worship as well as remote worship through Zoom. To receive a link to join us remotely, please email our office at fccnewlondon@gmail.com.

We celebrate communion every week, and all are welcome to participate regardless of faith background or membership status.  We are a church that believes fiercely in God’s radically inclusive love for all people, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, or sexual orientation. Jesus didn't reject anyone,

and so neither do we.

Firm believers in God’s continuing testament and

still speaking Spirit, we are committed to hearing

God’s ancient story anew and afresh in our lives

and in the world today.

We try to remain attentive to God’s creative movement in the

world. We seek to draw broadly from the Christian tradition

as we worship. With both our head and hearts we embrace

ancient spiritual practices, traditional hymns, Taize music, the visual arts, various forms of prayer, modern translations of the bible and contemporary praise music. Religion and science are both welcome, as we seek to understand our world.

Our congregation is small enough that many services include time for dialoguing and interactive prayer stations. We believe members of our church are not expected to agree on a single understanding of the Christian faith. We respect differences of opinion about theology and seek to support each other in growing closer to Christ, as we each best understand him.  While we do not currently offer Sunday School, children are most welcome in worship.  Through the interactive nature of many of our services, we strive to make worship meaningful and engaging for all ages. If you are interested in learning more about how your children can engage with and participate in worship with us, don't hesitate to give us a call or send us an email.

Our temporary place of worship is at the Hallam Chapel at St. James Church on the corner of Huntington and Federal Streets. The entrance to the chapel is on Federal Street, behind the red door.
